Frenchie and The Great Giveaway

Frenchie is an avid crafter. She wants to join UK Crafts Forum but I won't
let her yet. She keeps sneaking on when my back is turned.

Meet Frenchie! She has been my hangover cure for the afternoon. Kiddie has been at her friend's house all day. OH has been diving all day. I've been home alone all day. I should've been sorting out the bedrooms now that one of the wardrobes has arrived and been built, but I thought - "Huh! They're both off doing what they want to. Why shouldn't I?" I was sadly lacking in energy and enthusiasm to do anything too physical (nothing new there then!), whereas sitting on my backside stitching held much greater appeal! And Frenchie is the result. My first dolly designed and made all by myself. She needs a fair bit of tweaking still, but I thought I should introduce her and see what everyone thinks. The hair was obviously pink in honour of my new 'do'. And the name? That's for kiddie, after her fave character in her fave film and who also had pink hair for a time. Needless to say my kiddie has now nabbed said Frenchie and sleeping with her in bed. Good job I made a pattern. Will make some more in the coming days, making refinements as I go.

Hmm yes. I didn't really make much of a song and dance about this when I announced it the other day. Thought I would mention it again. To celebrate getting permission to use the Silly Girls doll pattern I decided to do my first giveaway. If you would like to win 'something' (I'm not sure what yet but it will be something I've made) for free then please leave a comment on my blog. I will put the names in a hat and on 19th April draw out a lucky winner. That's not long - only next Saturday - so get your comments in.

Right. That's more than enough from me for one day. Onto real life. I have to reach the summit of Mount Ironing if anyone wants any clothes to wear tomorrow. Flippin' 'eck - it's Monday again already!!!

I can't believe you are publishing such indecency...put some clothes on the poor girl. Seriously can't wait to see what togs your little pink haired princess might favour. Maybe something in black PVC like her mummy? I'd love to go in your draw too please, if you'll have me in your hat!
